Yvonne Schwartz

Yvonne Schwartz RYT, MT-BC is the owner of YOB. She has been living and teaching yoga in the Vail Valley since 2007. After practicing and studying yoga for six years she began her first formal teacher training at the South West Institute of Healing Arts in Phoenix, Arizona. While at SWHI she studied Anusaura, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Restorative yoga with Jim Keegan and Mary Bruce. Upon moving to Colorado Yvonne completed her 200 hr RYT certification through Inner Power Yoga with R.R. Shakti. Through her certification with Inner Power, Yvonne learned the art of adapting yoga to meet the needs of different students. She found this style of adapting the practice to meet the needs of ALL students complimented her previous studies in music therapy. She recently completed Anjali Restorative Yoga training with Julia Clarke. Yvonne found this was a nice offering for students to move inside themselves and find healing and peace. Yvonne is inspired by Vinyasa Flow and Alignment. She teaches all level classes and loves the challenge of meeting the needs of each person (beginner to advanced) and encouraging students to grow in their own personal practice both on and off the mat. By regularly attending festivals, continuing education opportunities, workshops, and conferences, Yvonne continues to find inspiration for her classes and personal practice. Yvonne was an ambassador for lululemon and was selected to attend their Summit Leadership Training Conference in Whistler, Canada in April of 2013. Yvonne is also actively involved in Girl PowHER yoga programs for middle school girls. This program provides weekly yoga to girls teaching them confidence, coping skills, and life skills through yoga. She and her husband organized the first annual Eagle YogaFest bringing three days of yoga and music to the Town of Eagle to raise money for Girl PowHER programs. Yvonne is passionate about bringing community together through yoga. She truly believes that yoga is for Every Body. Sometimes we just need the inspiration to get to our mats. She is inspired by the community of yogis at Yoga Off Broadway and is lit up every time she teaches class. She works hard to help students feel connected through their yoga community through classes, events, and giving back.
