Lindsey Auman believes that we are stronger than the limits, stories and goals we set for ourselves. You’ll often hear her tell her students “STAY – you’ve got this, surprise yourself!” Lindsey had a yoga flirtation that turned into a serious relationship once she met Baptiste Power Yoga. She came to her practice as a stressed out executive with several half marathons and a love of weight training under her belt and found that the Baptiste practice complimented her physical fitness with the surprise added bonus of making her a nicer and more grounded person. Her favorite pose is anything related to stability and core – especially Forearm Plank – because she says “our get-scared-and-get-growing edge is found in staying when we most want to come out!” Lindsey is a RYT-200 from Dancing Dogs Yoga (2013), where she has also completed advanced teacher training, EDGE (2014) and is building new teachers in the Teacher Training Program. She’s also trained with the Baptiste Power Yoga Institute for Level 1 and Level 2 as well as Art of Assisting (all 2014). When she’s not teaching yoga, she’s coaching (life, executive, anything – as a certified member of the International Coaching Federation), supporting several local charities, traveling, or snuggling a pet. She lives in Greensboro with her husband, Frank, her step-daughters, Emily and Avery, and somewhat of a pet menagerie.
