'm a certified Baptiste Yoga teacher, owner of PYC St Catharines, mama and a cyclist with a passion for improving the environment and minimizing my carbon footprint. I grew up in Leamington, Ontario, the Tomato Capital of Canada and have lived in St Catharines for 25 years. I'm a Survivor and Amazing Race junkie and the way to my heart is with Thai food, lattes and chocolate!
My intention as a PYC teacher is to create an empowering, physical class rounded out with laughter and abs.
I have the best memories in my favourite vacation spots on either side of the Atlantic - Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia and Ireland.
My music guilty pleasure.... think 80's Brat Pack film soundtracks - Don't You Forget About Me, of course.
I love the fun, anything goes vibe when I am at the studio. Laughter, tears, conversing, collaboration, growth, failures, successes, cheers - we show up as we are and this practice of yoga fits for any mood and any body. PYC is more than yoga poses - it is my chosen family that has helped me believe in my capabilities and supported my dreams. The physical practice of Baptiste yoga has taught me to trust myself whether I'm standing on my feet or standing on my hands, take risks and celebrate achievements. This doesn't end on my mat - I know how it feels and can use it everywhere else in my life. The way to my goals isn't always the route I thought it would be - and without this tribe of people, I wouldn't be as happy and successful as I am right now. This is my pWHYc.
