Cat began practicing yoga in 2006 at Santa Monica Power Yoga in Los Angeles. She returned to her hometown of Louisville, KY in 2010 and immediately immersed herself in the yoga community. She received her first 200-hour teaching certification from Yoga East in 2011 and flirted with a variety of yoga styles, mainly Ashtanga yoga, until discovering Baptiste Power Vinyasa yoga through Podcasts. After meeting Sarah Smith, a certified Baptiste Instructor, in 2013, the two started planning Louisville’s first dedicated power yoga studio, 502 Power Yoga. Cat participated in 502PY’s inaugural teacher training under Sarah, receiving her 2nd 200-hour teaching certificate. Cat attended Baptiste Institute’s Level One training in Phoenicia, NY in Summer 2014 and Level Two in Summer 2015. Cat brings humor, compassion, and possibility to her powerful classes. She loves loves sharing the power of the Baptiste Methodology with her students and witnessing their transformations on and off their mats.
When not doing something yoga-related, Cat can be found chasing around her daughter, Samantha, running around the beautiful parks in Louisville, drawing, cooking vegetarian food (even though she isn't vegetarian), or sampling tasty IPA's.
