Rachel came to yoga at the young age of 16 while she was a competitive and professional snowboarder. She found that yoga not only helped with her balance and strength on her snowboard, but mentally and emotionally she felt more stable as well. Rachel has since retired from snowboarding professionally but continues to snowboard whenever she can on her home mountain of Vail, CO. She has now dedicated her life to the practice, study, and teaching of yoga. She has been teaching for 6 years and is dedicated to the empowerment and transformation of others through yoga, meditation, health, healing, and spirit. Rachel is a 500hr Certified Baptitse Power Vinyasa Yoga teacher, and holds a 500hr E-RYT, as well as an AcroYoga certified teacher, she is also a yoga life coach. Rachel’s classes are powerful, playful, challenging, openhearted, and will leave you with a deeper sense of purpose and authenticity.
Rachel has also studied with some of the worlds top teachers in yoga, Desiree Rumbagh, Alanna Kaivalya, Dharma Mittra, Simon Park, Janet Stone, Jason Nemer, and Jenney Sauer-Klein. She has also spent time on meditation and healing retreats with Dr. Deepak Chopra and David Simon, as well as living in Thailand studying thai-massage and other ancient healing arts in depth. Her deep love, passion, and continued studies, as well as years of being an athlete, give her great knowledge of the body and it’s amazing ability to transform and heal.
When Rachel is not teaching you can find her on her mtn. bike, hiking in the CO. Rockies with her dogs, gardening, cooking, or snowboarding!
