Shelley Lowther is a Certified Baptiste Power Yoga Instructor and the founder of Dancing Dogs Yoga, a Baptiste Inspired Affiliate studio with four locations in South Carolina and Georgia. She is a writer, an artist, and a powerful teacher and leader. Shelley opened her first small studio in 2010 and quickly developed a strong and loyal clientele. It was after meeting and training with world-renowned yoga master, author and presenter Baron Baptiste that Dancing Dogs Yoga grew into the recognized center for power yoga in the Southeast that it is today. Through trainings with Baron and with Mark White, a Senior Certified Baptiste teacher, Shelley has grown into a world-class teacher and trainer. Her personal path to transformation began at a Baptiste program in Boston, and she has continued to evolve in the Baptiste community in trainings and workshops all over the world. She believes in leading by example and building community wherever she goes, and to that end Shelley leads sold out workshops, teacher trainings and charity events for Yoga Aid and Africa Yoga Project. She has assisted Baptiste programs and commits to assist at least one week long Baptiste program each year, to give back to the community that has given so much to her. She will assist a teacher training with Baptiste Yoga in Kenya in July 2013. Shelley is an Africa Yoga Project (AYP) Ambassador and Mentor and travels to Kenya to lead goal setting workshops and trainings with AYP teachers in and around Nairobi. She has partnered with her teacher, mentor and friend Mark White to bring teacher trainings and personal development to a whole new level of excellence. When she is not teaching and transforming lives, she loves to kayak and run and play with her husband Josh, and their four big bad dogs.
